Building Positive Mental Health for All
UBC thrive will take place next week on the Vancouver and Okanagan Campuses from November 2-6, 2015. Thrive Week is a campus-wide initiative designed to promotebuilding positive mental health for all faculty, staff and students. Thrive Week exists to encourage dialogue about balance, community engagement, social support, and healthy lifestyle choices through the coordination of faculty, staff and student-hosted events.
Okanagan Campus Human Resources and its WRAP (Work Reintegration and Accommodation Program) has again partnered with Campus Rec, Aboriginal Services, Risk Management, Alumni & Development, Campus Life, Health & Wellness, Nursing, Psychology and Human Kinetics, to host Thrive Week. This will be our fifth year hosting Thrive Week.
Please join us for the Healthy Kick Off breakfast on Monday from 8- 10 am and for the many events throughout the week including the Yoga Challenge on Friday at lunch with other Canadian Universities and Colleges and the week’s wrap-up dance party and prize draws at 1:30 pm Friday in the EME lower foyer.
