 Are you flexible and do you like variety? Do you enjoy working in a diverse environment and excel at customer service? Then apply to join our auxiliary pool at UBC Okanagan to become a member of our talent pool for short-term, temporary positions. Most placements are clerical, but we also have demand for clinical, library, retail and facilities maintenance staff. Positions may be part-time or full-time and range in duration from one day up until four months.

What Do You Need to Apply?

Successful candidates must demonstrate professionalism, superior communication skills, flexibility and adaptability.

Technical Requirements

  • Software proficiency (Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • A typing speed of 45 words per minute
  • Post-secondary education in office administration or a combination of education and experience

In addition to the above, other education and experience that can be an asset are:

  • Library Technician Diploma
  • Medical Office Assistant
  • Post-secondary trades related training
  • Financial experience
  • Web and Social Media experience
  • Customer Service experience
  • Retail experience
  • Experience in a university setting
