Crucial Conversations® is an internationally recognized, two-day course that teaches skills to create alignment and agreement between parties by fostering open dialogue around high-stakes, emotional, and risky topics.

The training is geared toward campus staff and faculty leaders and corporate professionals.  It teaches skills to help move “crucial” discussions forward in a respectful way that honours all points of view and produces positive results.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Create a safe space to explore differing opinions
  • Speak persuasively, not abrasively
  • Recognize and diffuse emotional road blocks that inhibit respectful dialogue
  • Foster teamwork and better decision making
  • Move from discussion toward action and results
