Length of Service Awards
The Length of Service Awards are being re-imagined!
‘Great People’ is recognized as one of the Core Areas and Strategies under People and Places within the UBC Strategic Plan. To attract, engage and retain a diverse global community of outstanding students, faculty and staff is at the heart of the university’s identity and critical to the success and growth of UBC. The Length of Service Awards is one way in which we can recognize the commitment of our great staff and faculty.
The past recognition of Length of Service has been for 25, 30, 35, 40 & 45 years of service. Things are changing! We will now be recognizing 15 and 20 years of service as well!
What has traditionally been celebrated in early spring will be celebrated in the fall of 2019.
We have begun qualifying staff and faculty’s years of service based on several factors including uninterrupted service (for more than one year).
The years of service for 2019 begin in the year of:
- 1979 (40 years)
- 1984 (35 years)
- 1989 (30 years)
- 1994 (25 years)
- 1999 (20 years)
- 2004 (15 years)
If you would like to self identify yourself as beginning your employment on one of these years, please do not hesitate to fill out the form below. If you qualify for Length of Service Awards in 2019 you will be contacted closer to the celebration date!
