Diabetes Prevention Program open to UBCO Faculty and Staff

Small Steps for Big Changes (SSBC) is a free, evidence-based lifestyle program designed to help you make lasting lifestyle changes to lower your risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Virtually from home or in the community at the YMCA through one-on-one appointments, learn how to incorporate physical activity into your daily routine, and to make sustainable dietary changes.

You may be eligible if you are:

  • Between the ages of 18 and 75
  • Engage in aerobic activity less than 2 times per week
  • Can commit to the Small Steps for Big Changes program (3-week program)
