- Dialogue about topics such as:
- Grants: types of grants, grant proposals, resources available through Research Services
- Research: methodology, article/manuscript preparation, publishing
- Tenure & Promotion: development of a strong dossier for reappointment, promotion, tenure
- Teaching: principles of teaching/learning, classroom dynamics, and technology in teaching
- Students: recognizing and addressing diverse student needs, student policies and practices
- Hiring Students: recruitment and supervision of research assistants and graduate students
- How to make it in academia
- Educational leadership
- Discussion of articles
- Policies and procedures (may need to consult with or refer Mentee to Head, Associate Dean, or HR)
