Key Principles of the Program
- The program is available to all tenure track Faculty
- The program is organized yet informal in nature
- The program is complementary to department faculty orientation and guidance, and informal collegial relationships
- Mentoring will be collaborative and supportive with a formative focus
- The mentor is not in any type of supervisory role with the mentee
- The mentor-mentee relationship is confidential in nature
- Activity is goal focused and self-directed by the mentee with mentor’s guidance
- Mentoring is valued as an important service activity by mentors
