Some of you and your team members may notice an influx in Workday notifications for required training over the past few days for courses such as Privacy & Information Security and Workplace Violence Prevention. If you are a staff and student-staff, manager or supervisor, you will receive notifications if you have not previously completed the training or if the training was not recorded in Workday. For anyone who completed training in the past, newer versions of required training may now be available and are required to be completed.

Due to the abundance of snow the Okanagan is currently experiencing, I would like to remind you of the information available to help ensure that you are prepared for winter weather.

As per the Snow Policy, if UBCO is subject to winter weather conditions, the decision-makers may decide to cancel or reschedule classes and/or curtail non-essential services. Unless otherwise indicated in future communications, classes and services are anticipated to continue as normal.

Across campus, many of you are engaged in planning for a vibrant campus experience that includes in-person activities this fall. An important part of fall planning will include reviewing hybrid work arrangements to ensure that they align with the service levels required to support in-person activities on campus.
